Novos registros de cachorro-vinagre em paisagens fragmentadas do sudoeste de Goiás, Brasil central

O cachorro-vinagre (Speothos venaticus) é um canídeo raro encontrado na América Central e do Sul. Neste estudo, relatamos três novos registros de cachorro-vinagre no sudoeste de Goiás, Brasil central. Registramos dois atropelamentos (2019 e 2024) e uma observação direta em 2024, na qual dois indivíduos foram vistos se dirigindo a um fragmento florestal. Os registros ocorreram em paisagens fragmentadas, compostas principalmente por florestas e savanas, destacando a preferência de habitat da espécie. No entanto, a fragmentação e o isolamento dos habitats na região aumentam a vulnerabilidade durante a dispersão, levando a um maior risco de atropelamentos.
